Warm Up 

We played the Vietnamese version of Rock Paper Scissors. Then we battled each other to determine the "Đánh Tù Tì" champion of the world! ... here is our winner.

Lesson 1 - Tones and Pronunciation

We did our final Review, review number 8, of all our recently completed " Ư " sounds. Then we did the " Ư " difficult pronunciations. Finally, the " Ư " sounds exam by performing its Reading exercises. Pages 75-77. Here is its audio.

Lesson 2 - Accent Reduction and Pronunciation

Class was taught another method today, that of Echo reading. Class was give a CD that containednatural reading of the first three chapters of the Bible Teach book, as well as the first 15 stories of theBible Stories book. This is an excellent method to fine tune your accent and reduce it to sound more and more like a native speaker.

Lesson 3 - 800 Words

Kitchen items and Memory Game. The class was divided up into pairs and each pair was given a stack of cards. Each card has either a picture of the kitchen item or simply the word on it. Each person had to flip two cards and say the word of the card that they flipped. If they matched a pair, they get to keep that pair. If they didn't match the pair, they were to flip the pair of cards face down again. The other student then attempted the process. If you find a pair, you get to go again. If you don't, the other person get's a try. The aim of the game is to remember as many cards as possible to pair them up. Person with the largest pile of matched pairs wins. Lesson 4 - Tones and Pronunciation

Class was given the last three pages of this Tones and pronunciation lesson which includes the Final Review, an overview of the more than 300 sounds we discussed. A sheet of all the consonants we have learned over the last 14 weeks was also included. Then, we opened up the floor so the students can ask any final questions they had on Tones and Sounds and Pronunciations. Pages 78-80. Here is this lesson's audio.

That's it! All our Tones and Sounds and Pronunciation lessons have been done. Here is proof that our students have finished this lesson. We all got to the very end, to page 80! Here is the master file for theentire 80 pages in either PDF or Word format! Well done class!

Lesson 5 - Dictation

The students were given back their Dictation sheets from last week. The instructors were extremely impressed with the quality of the students written Vietnamese. We discussed some of the common errors that were occurring, things to improve on. Then we did another Dictation exercise, using pages 6 and 7 of the Listen to God and Live Forever brochure. Then the sheets were collected again to be marked during the week.

Lesson 6 - Culture

This week we had a fascinating and emotional interview with Chị Trinh. The interview was conducted by Anh Phong, and we learned a lot about the particular circumstances of how Chị Trinh came into the truth, particularly the opposition she has faced until now. Lastly, we heard from Chị Lan on her perspective of teaching one such as Trinh; the challenges and the incomparable blessings.

Lesson 7 - Field Service

As today was the first Saturday of the month, the class learned a presentation that is effectively the direct approach to offer a bible study: introducing the Why Study the Bible Video. Here is this presentation's audio.
