Lesson One
(Page 6- Week 2 - Tones and Sounds) Revision of last week’s tones. New Sound Ă. The class also learnt the CH, sound. In English when CH is pronounced some air goes through in Vietnamese, no air goes through.
Lesson Two
How to use a Universal Language Generator. If you know just twenty words in each category you will know 64 million sentences. This ULG has potentially 125 sentences. The class practiced the words then got up in pairs to say a sentence to each other.
Lesson Three
(Page 5- Week 2 - Tones and Sounds) Learning the sounds ÁC, ÁT, ÁCH only dấu sắc and dấu nặng apply. The class also learnt the NH, KH and NG sounds.
Lesson Four
Revision of numbers then on to days of the week and months of the year. Balloon Educational Exercise. Chúa Nhật (Lord’s day) and Chủ Nhật are both correct. Apparently Nhật is derived from the Cantonese word for day.
Lesson Five
(Page 7- Week 2 - Tones and Sounds) The class learnt Â. After some practice of this letter there was some practice of the differences between A, Ă and  (and an explanation of some occasions where there is little or no difference).
Lesson Six
