Lesson 2

Anh Bảo gave the students (information sheets one and two) which answer QUESTIONS raised by students in previous classes.

The NARRATIVE from last week was reviewed. Students shared what they learnt about anh Alistair & other characters from the narrative. Students did well with this exercise. Students explained how they managed to translated the narrative. Anh Peter said he used the 800 words to translate most of the narrative & translated the rest online. Chị Amanda found it helpful to translate thoughts rather than word for word as it made more sense. Students received (chapter 2) of the narrative.

As language structure is now finished, students were asked if they have any questions. Students have found “HOW” challenging, which one to use? We spent a little time reviewing what we've learnt on this. Don't worry too much, as your vocabulary grows & you repeatedly hear the various forms of how being used by native speakers it will be easier to remember how to correctly use "how".

Lesson 3

Anh Long suggested students make & play simple “Who am I?” games using well known Bible characters to help with vocabulary & translation.
Anh Long taught TONES & SOUNDS: UYNH, UÔN, UÔNG, UÔM, UN, UNG, UM, ÚC, ỤC, ÚT, ỤT. (worksheet)

Lesson 4

Anh Bảo taught us how to SHOW PERSONAL INTEREST (worksheet). Anh Bảo asked the questions on the sheet & students answered in Vietnamese.
The class split into 3 groups & practised asking & answering these questions.

Students were randomly selected to demonstrate their field service presentations in front of the class.

Lesson 5

Anh Long taught us some common expressions we will hear the CHAIRMAN say.
Anh Long taught us more on the subject of PRAYER (worksheets).
