Lesson 2 - ULG -  Theocratic terms

As a class we worked through this ULG and students then volunteered to try out various combinations for the class. And here is some Audio to help you pronounce it accurately.

Lesson 3 - Reading Exercises

Exam time!  The students stood up in groups, prepared to read allowed  certain sentences, and then when they were confident they could do it, they read them for the class. We then expanded this to reading whole paragraphs. It was amazing to see how well the entire class could read after only three weeks of instruction.

Culture Lesson

We had a moving culture lesson this week giving a brief overview of the Vietnam war and more importantly how it affected Vietnamese immigration and refugees. We focused on how, as it is such recent history, these events will likely, in some way, affect any Vietnamese person you will ever meet.

Field Service

The Memorial Campaign started today. Students were given three different presentations for different levels of students. The first presentation is for absolute beginners. The second was for slightly more advanced where the students can pick and choose as little or as many of the bullet points as they would like - choose your own presentation. And the third is the suggested presentation exactly as it appears out of the February 2013 KM.
